Facilitate a Healing Group

We are seeking community volunteers willing to help facilitate our Choosing Safety support groups. Volunteers will co-lead a once weekly, 12-week support group.  All training is provided at no cost to volunteers. Issues addressed include coping strategies for triggers, good selfcare habits, and setting boundaries while maintaining healthy relationships. We facilitate these groups with vulnerable women in varied social service agencies.

Host an Event

Hosting an event is a great way to spread awareness of the ongoing injustices against victims of sex-trafficking. Hope-Filled Bags are filled with personal items, a note of encouragement and information about how to get help to live a safer, better way. Bags are distributed to various shelters, churches and service agencies who serve vulnerable women across the Cape & Islands. Volunteers are encouraged to write hand-written encouragement cards and to donate items to include in our Hope-Filled Bags.

Spread the Word

If you have a heart for the work we do, you are invited to help us spread the word! Invite our team to present an interactive awareness presentation to your group. Our presentation includes knowing the signs of and how to be able to report incidents of suspected trafficking on Cape Cod. We also provide education regarding a trafficker’s tactics and how to remain safe, especially online.  Our presentations can be geared towards youth and adults.

Become a Financial Partner

Any donation, either large or small, one-time gift or monthly support, will sustain our ongoing mission. TLI is committed to providing prevention education through awareness events, Hope-Filled Bags outreach, Choosing Safety support groups, and opening and maintaining a safe “healing” home for survivors. Our Healing Home will be a two-bedroom apartment where a single survivor will have the opportunity for stabilization, rest and recovery.  A single survivor will have 24-hour support by a trained advocate during the 30-day ‘Rest and Resiliency’ Program. This safe home model has a 92% rate for survivors completing the program (as well as a long-term transitional program, if desired) successfully and subsequently moving into a restored productive life.

Donate Services

Our Healing Home will provide no cost medical, dental and legal services to the survivor in the Rest and Resiliency Program. We are seeking professionals to offer pro bono services to residents.

Provide Administrative Support

TLI has opportunities for students and community members to volunteer. Ongoing support is needed to assist with fundraising, grant writing, social media, with our Road to Resiliency Benefit Auction. From creating social media content, to setting up for our annual event, if you’re willing to help we have a place for you!

Art with a Purpose

Treasured Life Initiative partners with local artists to sell their work with a portion of the proceeds going to TLI.
